Your opportunity
We're looking for a Modern Workplace Specialist to join our Digital Technologies team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, enabling people through technology, and helping organisations get the most out of Microsoft 365, automation and emerging AI capabilities.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Digital Delivery Lead, you'll be DairyNZ's subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 modern workplace technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Copilot and other productivity platforms. You'll provide Tier 2 support, improve digital ways of working, and help ensure our collaboration environments are secure, well-governed and easy to use.
A key focus of the role is supporting the adoption of Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled technologies, helping staff work more effectively while ensuring information is managed appropriately and governance requirements are met.
Working as part of the Digital Technologies team, you will provide technical expertise and support across a range of modern workplace technologies, including:
- Provide Tier 2 support for Microsoft 365 technologies including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform and Copilot.
- Design, configure and maintain SharePoint and Teams workspaces in line with best practice.
- Partner with business teams to understand challenges and recommend practical digital solutions.
- Learn and support assigned SaaS applications as required, developing sufficient knowledge to assist business users, diagnose issues and coordinate vendor support.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate business processes using Power Automate, Power Apps and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Support Copilot and AI adoption through training, coaching, guidance and governance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and support providers to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
- Create user-friendly documentation, training resources and knowledge articles that build digital confidence across the organisation.
What you’ll bring
You'll be someone who combines strong technical capability with a passion for helping people succeed.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in a Microsoft 365, SharePoint, digital workplace, application support or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft 365 administration concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting issues, managing escalations and providing excellent customer support.
- Experience configuring SharePoint sites, permissions, document libraries, metadata and governance controls.
- Experience using Power Automate and other Microsoft 365 tools to improve business processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A continuous improvement mindset and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, including AI and Copilot.
It would be advantageous if you also have Microsoft certifications, Power Platform experience, Copilot adoption experience, or exposure to information governance and SaaS application support.
