We are full of people who have a passion for delivering great outcomes and creating positive change. We leverage our collective strength by bringing the dairy sector together, helping farmers build more sustainable, profitable, and resilient farm businesses; because a strong dairy sector means a strong New Zealand.

Your opportunity

Join us to shape how DairyNZ manages and protects content for the future.

We’re looking for a Governance & Platform Enablement Lead for Content/document management and enterprise search to play a key role in enabling how content is created, managed, found and governed across the organisation.

This is a specialist role focused on establishing and embedding governance frameworks, standards, and ways of working across DairyNZ’s content platforms. You will ensure our documents, media, and web content are managed in a way that balances accessibility, quality, compliance, and security.

Acting as a bridge between strategy and delivery, you’ll work across teams to enable effective content practices while configuring governance, standards and workflows directly within platforms such as SharePoint and Microsoft Purview.

You’ll also play a key role in supporting teams to adopt good content practices, ensuring content is trusted, discoverable, and fit for both human and AI-assisted use.   You’ll collaborate with Data, AI and Content platform leads to design and deliver innovation workshops—exploring new ways to support farmers, strengthen research, and enhance DairyNZ’s effectiveness through smarter use of technology and modern ways of working.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, you will lead DairyNZ, across the following aspects:

Governance & standards

  • Define and embed governance frameworks for content across documents, media, and digital platforms
  • Develop standards for classification, metadata, lifecycle, retention, and accessibility
  • Monitor adoption and ensure consistent application across the organisation
  • Imbed the full content lifecycle within the tools used at DairyNZ

Enablement & ways of working

  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities for content ownership and stewardship
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and tools to support teams in managing content effectively
  • Continuously improve ways of working based on feedback and evolving technology

Platform configuration & leadership

  • Translate governance standards into platform configurations (e.g. SharePoint, Purview)
  • Implement controls such as permissions, labels, workflows, and retention settings
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure platforms support safe and effective content use

About you

You’ll bring a strong mix of governance expertise, technical capability, and a collaborative approach. You’re comfortable working both strategically and hands-on and enjoy helping others succeed.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in content or records management governance (5+ years)
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts
  • Experience working with Microsoft platforms such as SharePoint and Purview
  • The ability to influence and build relationships across technical and non-technical teams
  • A proactive, outcomes focused mindset with strong analytical thinking
  • Confidence working with evolving technologies, including AI-enabled tools
